How Your Support Makes a Difference!
For every $5,000 raised, one nursing student will be able to attend FSIL nursing school for an entire year. This includes room, board, textbooks, tuition, supplies, etc. Students travel from all over Haiti to attend FSIL- a pioneer in nursing education. These students not only learn but they actively serve their communities by working as school nurses, hosting summer camps for kids, and participating in community health research efforts to improve healthcare delivery. Supporting these nursing students is one of the most impactful investments you can make to create lasting change in the world.

Join Us in Supporting Nursing Students in Haiti!
One of the symbols of hope in Haiti is nurses. They support healthcare where systems exist, and they selflessly serve communities where there are no doctors. This is in perfect alignment with the mission of Family Health Ministries to support Haitian communities in their efforts to build and sustain healthy families. FHM has had a longstanding relationship with a pioneering nursing school (FSIL) in Haiti since its inception. FSIL was the first school in Haiti to provide a bachelors of science education and the first to graduate nurse practitioners.
Since these students are actively serving the same communities that FHM supports, FHM has formed a campaign to answer the prayers of these students and the communities that they serve by helping to provide scholarships.
On May, 12, 2025- International Nurses Day- Haiti Nursing Foundation has committed to matching up to $15,000 raised, meaning your support will have double the impact. With this new goal of $30,000, we will be able to provide six students with a full year of nursing education at FSIL.
