Fund the Flame of Holy Spirit Catholic School

For three short weeks, from January 30 to February 25, we are raising important funds to bless the work of Holy Spirit Catholic School!  The entire student body and their parents are collectively fundraising together to ask friends, family, framily, parishioners, neighbors, colleagues and alumni for donations that fund the flame of Catholic education here in Overland Park.

Your support for faith-first education at Holy Spirit is more important than ever. Our school depends on the generosity of our community to provide educational excellence and faith formation to enflame our hearts with Christ's love.

Each year, parishioners and school parents take part in one of the biggest fundraisers of the year, The Holy Spirit Grand Gala & Benefit Auction.  It is a night of fellowship, fundraising and includes dinner, dancing and a silent and live auction.  At both the school and the church the Gala has always included  lots of excitement both in preparation and the night of the celebration.  From a kids viewpoint, they are watching and hearing about this exciting event both from the pulpit and in their school.  They may see the cool display in the Narthex and may even buy raffle tickets. They may have even watched the 2019 Gala virtually or excitedly viewed the Gala raffle pulls on November 6, 2021.  

Often times we would hear the kiddos say "I wish I could go to Gala!"   This sparked the idea of Kids' Gala!  Why not share in some of the  fun and excitement of Gala?  Especially as these students work to reach fundraising goals to support their school.  Let's celebrate with them our amazing community, parish family and the gift of Catholic education.  

Kids' Gala is on the calendar for Friday, February 25, 2022! We are matching the '80s theme of The Holy Spirit Grand Gala & Benefit Auction in celebration of the history of our church founded in 1981 and the dedication of our school in 1984.  As the students of Holy Spirit Catholic School work together to reach different fundraising levels, they will unlock additional prizes that are included in Kids' Gala.   How thrilling to be a part of an end of the day celebration to include dj music, a dress down day, dancing, confetti cannons, raffles with all students names entered, swag bags, live music and so much more!  We can't wait to celebrate '80s style!
