About the Cause
At age eight, Alisa Ann Ruch was fatally injured in a backyard barbecue accident in Southern California. Bravely using their tragedy as a catalyst for change, Alisa Ann’s parents, local firefighters and medical professionals joined together and created AARBF in 1971 with the goal of preventing burn injuries by teaching “Stop, Drop, and Roll.”
How Your Support Makes a Difference
The Alisa Ann Ruch Burn Foundation (AARBF) is a California-based nonprofit organization dedicated to preventing burns and fires and providing services to those who have been affected by a burn injury. AARBF brings together health care providers, firefighters, emergency workers, burn care professionals, burn survivors, and our community to enhance the quality of life for burn survivors and to make burn injuries a thing of the past.

Thank you for your interest in the Alisa Ann Ruch Burn Foundation’s 50th Anniversary Gala on October 2, 2021. In light of the ongoing COVID-19 crisis, our in-person Gala will be postponed until October 2022 to ensure the safety of our supporters and staff. In lieu of an in-person celebration of our 50th Anniversary, the Alisa Ann Ruch Burn Foundation invites our friends, family and community, to attend our 50th Anniversary Gala, virtually on October 2, 2021. This FREE event includes the unveiling of AARBF’s “Origins of Stop, Drop and Roll” museum exhibit, special guest appearances and online auction.

The Silent Auction is open now through 7:30 PM on October 2, 2021. Live items are available for preview. Items will be added over the next few days so check back often.
