We are so excited to be participating in Ben’s 18th Downright Extraordinary Walk!

First, thank you to all of our amazing family and friends who have supported us over the years. Your generosity and encouragement have meant more to our family than we can ever say.

This has been an especially exciting year for Ben. He completed his second summer at sleepaway camp in Georgia and absolutely blossomed. He also started his junior year of high school at his first brick-and-mortar school since 4th grade — and he is loving it and learning so much!

And, in another big step toward independence, Ben is now taking public transportation home from school. That’s a big deal for him… and, honestly, a big deal for us too!

Through all of these milestones, the Gold Coast Down Syndrome Organization has been there for our family. They have encouraged us to let Ben try things that push all of us outside our comfort zones, cheered with us when he succeeded, and cried with us when things didn’t go quite as planned.
The programs GCDSO provides have also given Ben something every parent hopes their child will have — an amazing group of friends. They chat, talk, hang out, make plans and genuinely enjoy being together. His social life is honestly better than ours!

We are incredibly lucky to have this organization in our lives, and we would be so grateful for your support as we celebrate Ben’s 18th walk.

Any donation, big or small, makes a difference and helps GCDSO continue providing the programs, friendships and opportunities that mean so much to Ben and so many other families.
