WHAT WE DO

We never take a single approach to help kids succeed, it takes:

Safe Places

  • Providing 15 safe and fun Clubhouses for kids to grow and thrive.
  • Life-Enhancing Programs

  • Delivering innovative programs designed to empower youth to excel in school and lead healthy, productive lives.
  • Caring Mentors

  • Offering trained staff who guide, coach, and motivate all kids to be successful.
  • For 70 years, we've done whatever it takes to ensure all kids have a great future.

At Boys & Girls Clubs of Bellevue, we believe great futures are possible for all young people.

Every child deserves a place. A place to feel safe. A place to feel connected. A place to belong. Since we first opened our doors 70 years ago, Boys & Girls Clubs of Bellevue has been that place for more than 13,000 children and teens annually. Today, in the midst of our evolving world, we provide a caring, inclusive environment that inspires each Club member to develop healthy lifestyles, academic success, leadership skills, and career readiness. Our hope is that every Club member develops the critical thinking, physical, social, emotional, and life skills they need to thrive today and in the future. Most importantly, we provide a place for kids to be kids, where they feel valued and excited to be who they are—and become who they were meant to be—regardless of the circumstances that surround them.

The ever-evolving pandemic has made life more difficult for kids, combined with bullying in school and online, racial unrest, and the systemic inequalities they face daily. Even before the COVID-19 pandemic, poor mental health had reached a crisis level in Washington. All of this threatens their stability and well-being. When kids don't feel safe or healthy, they can't learn, grow, or develop resiliency that will aid them throughout their lives.

71% of Boys & Girls Club kids say when they have a problem, they can't stop worrying about it.

At BGCB, Kids and teens know they can rely on safeconsistent, and welcoming environments full of caring mentors who recognize mental health is essential to overall healthy development. Whether it's after-school, summer, a schools-out-day, or a game at Hidden Valley, we're doing whatever it takes to ensure the youth who come to our Clubs achieve socialemotional, and physical wellness.
