I am doing the 2023 NYC Marathon with Comfort Zone Camp to raise money for this important cause.
I am participating in the TCS New York City Marathon - a fundraising event to give grieving children access to free Comfort Zone Camp programming, so they can learn how to cope in healthy ways.
After my father passed away suddenly when I was 7 years old, running became a healthy outlet for me to cope. I continued to foster this passion of mine and it became a way for my family and I to bond with each other. Shortly after my father's passing, I became a camper at Comfort Zone Camp-this camp provided me with the tools I needed to heal and grow from such a traumatic event. I made long-lasting friendships and even came back as a Big Buddy to help campers grieve healthily. Comfort Zone has provided me with skills I will use for the rest of my life, and I cannot wait to provide this opportunity to more children who need it by raising money!
