About Giving Tuesday Trustee Match

It's the Little Things that can make a world of difference

A fresh cup of coffee for a dad that hasn't slept in days;

A nourishing meal to give a mom the strength to meet whatever medical challenges their child faces;

A quiet retreat to escape the beeps and noises of the hospital;

A private space to nap, meditate, and gather strength.

These tiny moments add up to offer the support family members need when a child is in the hospital.

Please also consider monthly giving as an easy way to spread your impact year-round--just select the monthly giving box when you give.

Giving Tuesday is a global effort to promote giving to charities at the start of the giving season. It takes place annually on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving.

Thank you for giving to help Ronald McDonald House families this Giving Tuesday!

Giving Tuesday Trustee Match Fund

Our Board of Trustees recognize that it's the little things that make a world of difference.  As part of their commitment to our mission, they have established the 2021 Giving Tuesday Trustee Match Fund, where every gift for Giving Tuesday will be matched, up to $40,000. So your good deed will have double the impact for families with a hospitalized child!

The Difference Your Gift Makes

Your gift will help families find stability and peace of mind with rest, nourishment, and connections with others in similar situations. Best of all, you'll help hospitalized children benefit from the love and care of their families when it matters most.

Your gift will support the Home Fund, underwriting the core mission services of Ronald McDonald House Charities of San Diego. Temporary lodging, meals, and other life necessities at San Diego's Ronald McDonald House help to sustain families whose lives have been turned upside down by their child's diagnosis and treatment. By providing an unrestricted gift to our Home Fund, you are supporting our highest and most urgent needs as determined by our volunteer Board of Trustees.

San Diego's Ronald McDonald House

Community support has been vital to keeping our House open to families whose children face the most serious of illnesses and injuries, whose treatments could not wait for COVID-19 to abate. These families - in the midst of a terrible pandemic - simply have to be here to support their child in the hospital.

Throughout the pandemic, our House has never closed to these highest need families. With our hospital partners and following CDC, state, and local guidance, we've implemented a comprehensive, multi-stage plan to allow for safe operations amidst pandemic surges, and now as the vaccine arrives in our community.
