As we near the end of 2021, we hope you will consider making a year-end donation of any amount to support this unit and the lifesaving care it provides. Our committed, highly trained specialists are invaluable assets to this community. With your help, we can ensure they have the resources they need to provide the care you deserve.
THE NEED
Madison County continues to boom and our patient numbers and needs are also on the rise. You can help meet these demands by funding access to advanced critical care equipment:
This equipment will increase our capacity and save more lives … those of your neighbors and family, and maybe even your own.
Hear from Tracy Doughty, Huntsville Hospital president and COO, about how your gift will help patients in the ER by purchasing new high-tech lighting and innovative stretchers.
The doors of our ER are constantly open and welcoming people during their scariest moments. They are broken and in pain, but our nurses, doctors, and trauma surgeons are there to put them back together again. And they do it for 250 patients a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
Please consider Huntsville Hospital Foundation in your 2021 year-end giving and tax planning. Don't forget these donation and calendar reminders:
- Gifts by check: Postmarked on or before December 31, 2021, or hand deliver to the Foundation office by 4 p.m. on December 31 (801 Clinton Ave. East, Huntsville, AL 35801).
- Gifts by credit card: Give online through December 31, 2021. You may also call the Foundation office at (256) 265-8077 to give via credit card.
- A universal charitable deduction for up to $300 is now available to all taxpayers, not just those who itemize.
- Gifts from IRA: Required minimum distributions (RMD) from IRAs are back, after having been suspended last year. Please consider the Foundation as the recipient of your RMD. Your IRA custodian can arrange a direct transfer of these funds from your IRA to the Foundation, which will exclude that amount from your taxable income.

100% of your donation will be used to provide new stretchers, wheelchairs and lighting for the unit.
