About 2023 National Aviary Hike-A-Thon Presented by UPMC Health Plan

Join us for the annual National Aviary Hike-A-Thon Presented by UPMC Health Plan. Since 2021, hundreds of participants from more than a dozen states logged thousands of miles while raising money for the critical conservation efforts of the National Aviary. This year, we invite you to commit to the challenge again! Join your family and friends in hitting the trail -- whether that trail is cutting through the mountaintops or traveling right through your own neighborhood -- and help the National Aviary save critically endangered animals and their habitats.
Participation is easy. Step one: register! Click the register button above to get started. Either register as an individual or join/create a team! Things are much better with friends, so consider starting your own team and challenge your teammates to hike the whole month of September! After you register, update your personalized fundraising page to share your story.
Paid participants will receive this year's exclusive event shirt!
Once September rolls around, the real fun begins -- getting outside! Hike, bike, walk, run, skip; however you want to move counts! Connect your Strava account directly to your Hike-A-Thon page to automatically log your activities. The more activities you log, the more points you get! Our top point earners will all be eligible for great prizes.
