2025 National Walk | #HUNTINGTONHEROES

I am walking in honor of Aimee Jo Thurlow, who is enduring this debilitating disease currently. More awareness is needed to help all with it
This May, I'm participating in the National Walk for Huntington disease (HD). One in every 7,000 Canadians has HD, a genetic brain disorder with physical, mental and emotional symptoms. HD is often described as having elements of ALS, Parkinson's, Alzheimer's and schizophrenia, all at the same time. Every child of a parent with HD has a 50% chance of inheriting the disease.
Together, we're making a collective impact:
- Raise Awareness: Letting everyone who has been touched by HD know about our information and services
- Fund Research: Supporting groundbreaking national research to slow/stop the progression of HD
- Provide Assistance: Helping all individuals and families affected by HD
How You Can Help:
- Donate: Click "Make a Donation" to contribute
- Spread the Word: Share my fundraising page using #HuntingtonHeroes on social media.
Thank you for being part of this national movement. Your support helps us get closer to realizing our visions of a world free from Huntington disease.
