2026 National Walk | #HUNTINGTONHEROES

Hey everyone! I’m so happy to announce the Huntingtons walk will be back this year on Sunday May 28th at 11am at Bow Memorial Park in Bowmanville, TEAM DONNA IS BACK!
This walk meant so much to my mom. She absolutely loved seeing Team Donna there every year, and her smile was infectious to everyone that was around her at the walks over the years. My Goal is to make this year BIGGER then ever before. If your free that day to come out and have a walk with a great group of people for a great cause we’d love to see you. I’ll be selling T shirts again this year and 100% of the cost will go towards our teams donation total. There will be a live DJ and other various things going on that day before and after the walk.
A big thank you to Bunny & my friend Deanna who works at huntingtons society of Canada, they have been awesome in helping plan for this years walk.
ALL DONATIONS AND CONTRIBUTIONS MADE TO THIS EVENT BEFORE JUNE 30TH WILL BE MATCHED BY AN ANONYMOUS DONOR DOLLAR FOR DOLLAR!
So if you’d like to donate and register we greatly appreciate all donations and anyone willing to come out and show their support for the day.
This will be the second year without my mother Donna being there with us. To know Donna was to love her. She was the most kind hearted, funny, down to earth, loving person you’d ever meet and was always the life of the party. She was always so positive and I never heard her complain once about anything despite everything life threw at her. I miss her more everyday. She meant the world to me, and I’m sure to a lot of people as well. It’s been hard to stay on my feet without her here in my life, I just know I want to try and continue to make her proud. She fought so hard and long against Huntington’s and now it’s Team Donna’s turn to continue this fight for her. She’ll be shining down on all of us that day with her big smile. Look forward to seeing you all there! Cheers
Much Love ❤️

This year we are coming together to raise funds and awareness for Huntington disease throughout the month of May. Together, we hope to walk over 4000km nationally. The coordinated effort to walk together across the country makes our impact and our voices so much stronger as we come together for a common goal.
HSC aspires to a world free from Huntington Disease (HD). Together, with your support, HSC maximizes the quality of life of people living with HD through services, support, advocacy, and research.
One in every 7,000 Canadians has HD, a devastating, degenerative brain disorder. The symptoms are like having Alzheimer's, Parkinson's and ALS in one disease. Every child of a parent with HD has a 50% chance of inheriting the disease.
There is currently no cure. Please show your support and help the HD Community find meaningful treatments!
