Hilldale Elementary School

I am giving one night.

On Friday, December 2, Student Council is asking the Hilldale Community, their friends, and their families to participate in Homeless Solutions’ A Night in the Cold to raise crucial funds and awareness for the homeless families and individuals in our community.

We will be braving the elements by sleeping outside for one night on December 2nd, in hopes of raising $1,000 for our fundraising campaign.

We all deserve the basic needs of shelter and warmth during these colder months. By supporting A Night in the Cold, you are supporting the hundreds of homeless in our community and letting them know they are not alone.

Here are some more details:

1) If you cannot bring yourself to sleep outside in a tent on December 2, you can sleep in your car, or in a sleeping bag on the floor of your garage, kitchen, bedroom.

2) Do this responsibly with your crew!  What could be better than spending a fun night hanging out with friends and family for a terrific cause?

3) Share pictures of you and your crew doing the Night in the Cold challenge with Mr. Jones or Mrs. Weber and we'll post to our school's Twitter account.

4) Share Hilldale School's fundraising page with family and friends.  Even if they can't join you on December 2, they can still donate to this worthwhile cause!

If you have any questions or concerns, you can email Mr. Jones (jason.jones@montville.net) or Mrs. Weber (sandy.weber@montville.net).

We look forward to roughing it with our Hilldale community on Friday, December 2!
