As a physician, I have come to believe that healing is about far more than medicine alone. Healing is found in the people who show up — in community, compassion, presence, and the unwavering support that carries families through the unimaginable. The

lives that mission every single day. The Jay Fund helps families tackling childhood cancer by providing comprehensive financial, emotional, and practical support. From diagnosis to recovery and beyond, they become part of the team, allowing parents to focus solely on their child’s wellbeing. Their mission is simple yet profound: to BE THERE for parents facing the unthinkable so they can BE THERE for their families.
I have witnessed the Jay Fund’s mission come to life in countless meaningful ways — through moments of joy and normalcy created for children in the midst of treatment, compassionate support offered to overwhelmed parents, practical assistance for families facing financial hardship, unforgettable camp experiences that allow kids to simply be kids again, and vital hospital staff positions made possible through Jay Fund support. I have also seen the organization continue to surround families with comfort, connection, and care long after treatment ends or after the unimaginable loss of a child.
What makes this organization especially meaningful to me is its unwavering commitment to the families it serves and its dedication to ensuring that the vast majority of every dollar donated goes directly toward supporting children and families facing childhood cancer.
