About Jog For Justice

Jog your way through the Thanksgiving holidays by joining Justice At Last for our first annual Jog For Justice, no matter where you are!

The Jog for Justice event is targeted at youth in high schools and young persons in colleges and law schools to help create awareness about human trafficking and allow for youth and young persons to get involved and take a leadership role in the anti-trafficking movement by helping raise funds to support trafficking survivors.

Get a group of friends or family members to participate in a jog or any outdoor exercise between November 14th through the 28th. We have high school and college students participating from all over the US!

We are excited to launch our first annual Jog For Justice fundraiser to benefit the youth and young persons that Justice At Last represents. Jog For Justice will take place in your own backyard or wherever you and/or your peers would like to complete your outdoor exercise. After you have registered and you get pledges from your peers, friends, family members you can begin you Jog For Justice! Don't want to jog, but still want to join the cause? How about an outside activity of:

  • Outdoor zumba or yoga
  • Soccer/basketball/badminton
  • Potato sack race
  • Beach walk
  • Slow hike
  • Dancing

The goal is to get our young people in high school and folks in college to help us spread awareness about trafficking and raise money that will go towards supporting survivors of trafficking and those that are at risk of being trafficked. If you would like more information on how to become a sponsor, help promote Jog For Justice at your high school/college/university, or get more information about how to participate in our first Jog For Justice, please email us at jog@justiceatlast.org

How Your Support Makes a Difference

The following quotes are from some of our youth and young adult clients and are being shared with permission.

“I always wanted to change my name from when I was very young. Everyone told me I couldn’t or shouldn’t do that. Justice At Last listened to my legal needs and helped me with that process."

-A young adult client who changed their name.

“Thanks Justice At Last for being there for me! You never abandoned me and you all helped me understand what was going on. So many adults in the system treated me like I wasn’t capable of understanding but you all treated me with respect from the beginning and you told me what was really happening in the court, thank you for that."

-A minor client connected to AB 12 benefits, which is California’s Extended Foster Care Program for youth in the child welfare and probation systems to remain in foster care until age 21.

“I am hopeful for my future now that everything is behind me. I even want to go to college and maybe someday law school because I saw how my attorney helped me and my family and I want to help other kids like me.”

-A minor client who received crime victim’s rights representation during the prosecution of a trafficker.
