Kokua for a Cause

Kokua for the women of Maui.

We’re supporting Maui Health Foundation's Kokua for a Cause campaign because our lives have been touched by at least one person whose life has been impacted by breast cancer. It is so prevalent that in the US 1 in 8 women will be affected by breast cancer, with breast cancer having the highest incident rate of all cancers in women on Maui. Every $200 raised will help Maui Health Foundation provide a woman in need with breast cancer screenings that are recommended for women over 40 annually. The Foundation helps provide mammograms to those without means to cover the cost of necessary breast cancer screenings.

Now through October 31^st, in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, we’ll be raising funds for the third year in a row to help prevent breast cancer in women on Maui. Last year, because of the generosity of over 400 members and our efforts, we were able to raise over $5,000 to provide breast cancer screenings or other vital, life-saving procedures for women on Maui. Let's do it again this year!
