Mark Strauss Ride Across America

Dear friends,

As many of you know, I have been involved with the AIDS/LifeCycle for the past 25 years. Last year was the final year of the seven-day ride, which has opened the door for me to look at new opportunities to support causes I care deeply about.

One of my closest friends, Mark Strauss, has decided to take on an extraordinary challenge: cycling 3,400 miles coast to coast to help No Kid Hungry who’s mission is to end childhood hunger in America. Mark’ goal is to raise $1,000,000—enough to provide 10 million meals for children in need. 14 million kids may go to bed hungry in our country tonight, that is unacceptable and a call to action.

I am supporting Mark’s effort in two ways. First, joining him for two or three segments of his ride. Second and more importantly I have made a commitment to raise or donate $100,000 toward his $1 million goal. My hope is that by establishing a strong foundation early, Mark will be well positioned to achieve his goal and make a meaningful difference in the lives of many children across the country.
