My family and I are all too familiar with childhood cancer. Finn Sawyer Schafran was my avocado loving nephew who lost his battle with cancer at the age of 3. He fought the hard fight against rhabdomyosarcoma for the majority of his life and he always did it with a smile on his face. He touched so many lives while he was here on this earth and is missed and loved so very deeply by those of us who knew him well. For years, I have been trying to figure out how I can honor his memory and how I can make a difference for those who are still fighting this fight today. Nothing felt good enough, until I had an epiphany to combine the things that I love so very much (goats & making soap) and one of the things that Finn loved: avocados! Thus, I've handcrafted an avocado oil goat milk soap that is for sale in our shop. 100% of the profits from the sale of this soap will forever be donated to childhood cancer organizations. At the end of each month, I'll make a donation through this page of everything we have raised together.
