I am running in memory of my kind, incredible, and resilient friend, Catherine Malatesta who lost her battle to sarcoma in 2015.
I've registered for the Race to Cure Sarcoma Race Team that is running in the Marine Corps Marathon to raise much needed funding for research, education and advocacy. This is an extremely special cause to me as I am running in support of my friend, Catherine Malatesta. Cat was diagnosed in November 2014 and passed away after a strong and courageous battle on August 2, 2015. Each day, I try to carry on her spirit with a higher sense of optimism, elevated kindness, and passion to make the world a better place.
