Yes, just simply thank you for your support, for your trust in us as stewards of your donations and thank you for helping us make a difference in our Hudson Valley for people affected by breast cancer.

October was busy. It’s not only Breast Cancer Awareness Month but it is also a chance for anyone who knows anyone touched by breast cancer to speak up, reach out, raise money and make a statement about how sometimes our neighbors need help.

You are telling us that “Nothing feels better than knowing exactly who your money is helping.”

So here are some examples from thank you letters we have received from Hudson Valley breast cancer patients.

Post pandemic, we are seeing a greater number of later stage cancer diagnoses. We funded a regional campaign A Few Minutes for Peace of Mind, to urge women to re-start getting their annual mammogram. When breast cancer is detected early, and is in the localized stage, the 5-year relative survival rate is 99%. Stage 3 and 4 breast cancer is more problematic to treat and certainly translates into more financial burden for the patient.
