Where is the event being held?

This event will be held where ever you would like. Since it a virtual event, you can go anywhere.

Who can participate?

Anybody and everybody! There is no age limit and not restrictions.  So run, jog, walk, crawl, run alone, or in a group (preferably less than 10, run with your pet, bike, hike, it doesn’t matter.  Just get out there and get moving!

Will there be a ceremony?

We will be sharing a video on event day that highlights our sponsors and a few survivor stories.  Weekly challenges will be given as well as awards for top team fundraisers and individual fundraisers, most team participation, and best social media presence!

How do I fundraise?

Once you’re signed up, there are plenty of great ways to fundraise:

  • Share your online fundraising page with friends and family via email, Facebook or Twitter to let them know you are participating in the RTCS Template walk/run event.

  • Tell your story – You may know someone that has faced sarcoma or you may be doing this because it is a great cause and you want to make a difference. You have a story to tell.

  • Encourage your friends to sign up and create a dream team! As a virtual event, your team can participate in different parts of the country or the world.

  • Does your employer have a matching program? Do they support efforts for happier, healthier employees? See if they’ll match the funds that you raise or donate.

  • Just ask! Your friends and family like to support you and the things that matter to you. Ask them to give just a little and watch it all add up, just like taking that first step!

My friend made a donation on Facebook, why can't I see it on my fundraising page?

Facebook's privacy policy prohibits us from receiving your donor's information so we are unable to add that donation to your fundraising page totals in a timely manner. If you want your friend's donations to be added to your total, ask them to donate directly to your page. Be sure to send them the link and use that link on your social media posts.

I want to get my company to sponsor the event. I'd like some flyers or posters to help promote the event.

Thank you! We will take all the help we can get! Please email us at events@curesarcoma.org
