Miracles for Myla

Myla Promise was born at 24 weeks 4 days gestation on July 1, 2023 (after premature rupture of membranes at only 17 weeks), and came into the world at Norton Hospital, where her life was saved by the excellent care she received in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Norton Children’s. She spent 129 days inpatient battling the harsh consequences of being born far too soon, including additional struggles like sepsis, before she went home with her family November 7th of that same year. She is happy, healthy and thriving today thanks to their amazing facilities and staff, as well as the overwhelming goodness of God.

For more than a century, Norton Children’s Hospital and its predecessor hospitals have cared for the children of Kentucky and Southern Indiana without regard to their families’ ability to pay. Norton Children’s Hospital is Kentucky’s only full-service, free-standing pediatric care facility dedicated exclusively to caring for children and is an advocate for the health and well-being of all children. The 300-bed hospital serves as the primary pediatric teaching facility for the University of Louisville School of Medicine.

As the need for expert pediatric care has grown in the region, so has the footprint of Norton Children’s Hospital and the specialized care we provide. The medical facilities currently serve more than 170,000 patients each year.

By donating to my page, you’re stepping up to help the babies cared for at NCH NICU, and their families by helping provide hope and healing.
