Honor Rose Pasqualini with a donation to support a cause that was close to her heart, Norton Children's Heart Institute and Brave Hearts.
Rosemarie Pasqualini Bitzer passed away on May 3, 2022.
A graduate of the University of Louisville with a BS in Health Sciences, Rose was passionate about her life’s work in healthcare. In her most recent role as Director of Pediatric Cardiovascular Services at Norton Children's Heart Institute, Rose worked tirelessly in support of Brave Hearts, a charitable organization dedicated to providing support to the families of children with congenital heart defects. Rose was an integral part of bringing the Jennifer Lawrence Cardiac Intensive Care Unit to fruition. In recognition of her unwavering commitment to Pediatric Health Care, the Congenital Heart Family Room at Norton Children’s Hospital was named in her honor. She was Norton Children’s Hospital Foundation Outstanding Volunteer in 2018. Her contributions to the betterment of pediatric healthcare in Louisville and the surrounding area were many and will have a positive impact for years to come.
Beyond her work pursuits, Rose was a devoted aunt, loyal friend and among the best dressed women at the Kentucky Derby, where her hats were legendary. A gift from Rose was a work of art, and her attention to detail was unmatched. When you heard Rose’s laugh, you couldn’t help but smile.
