I Heart Camille

Honor two incredible young ladies, SarahBeth and Camille, with your donation to support a cause so close to our hearts, the Norton Children’s Heart Institute.

I Heart Camille began as an effort to share Camille’s story and help critically ill heart patients and other Brave Hearts at Norton Children’s Hospital. The outpouring of donations from the community helped meet our initial goal, and we are touched at the continued support in memory of SarahBeth. Thank you.

Camille was born on a rainy Saturday in July, 7 weeks before her intended arrival. She came into the world weighing just over 3 pounds -- most of which seemed to be hair! From the beginning, Camille has had a complicated journey. She was born with congenital heart disease and other medical issues, which has led to multiple surgeries and procedures, and a lot of time spent in the ICU. At home, Camille required around-the-clock medical care, including special feeding through a tube, oxygen through a cannula in her nose, an oxygen monitor, many medications, and frequent visits with doctors. Almost seven years later, Camille is doing great.

Thanks to the generosity of family, friends, and followers, I Heart Camille raised $50,000 for the Jennifer Lawrence Cardiac Intensive Care Unit at Norton Children’s Hospital. This state of the art unit provides critical care to patients, like Camille, navigating serious heart conditions. Since opening in December 2019, thousands of patients, and their families, have been seen on the CICU by cardiac critical care providers, including dedicated nursing staff and other professionals focused solely on heart care.
