I am thrilled to be honored as this year's Humanitarian of the year! 

I have been a member of the New England Chapter of the Crohn's and Colitis foundation since I was a GI fellow and my commitment to the foundation has only grown over the years. Taking care of patients with Crohn's and colitis is as rewarding as it can be challenging. Today, we have many more therapeutics than we did when I was in training, but there is still no cure and we are only just beginning to personalize the approach to treatment. Funds raised through this event will support research, advocacy and important patient programming. Together we can change the future of IBD!
