2024 Gala for Crohn's & Colitis the New England Chapter

Post-Event Update: Thanks to your incredible support, our annual gala raised over $935,000 toward our $1 million goal to fund critical research, education, and support initiatives.
If you haven’t already, please consider making a donation before year-end to help drive progress toward better treatments and, ultimately, cures for these diseases. Every contribution makes a meaningful impact on our mission!
Hello family, friends and supporters -We hope you are all well and healthy. We are coming to you to, again, ask for your help to protect the IBD community that remains at an increased risk.
When our daughter Julie was just ten years old, after weeks of illness, high fevers, tests, weight loss and failure to grow, she was diagnosed with ]Crohn’s disease. We were told it is a chronic disease, meaning that Julie would never recover from it and she would live with pain, discomfort, meds and surgeries for the rest of her life. We were told,
“there is no cure.” Here we are 21 years later and while there is still pain, discomfort, meds and surgeries…there is now hope! As for a cure, now the researchers and doctors say, “not if but when!”Your support will help to fuel critical research and awareness campaigns as well as improve patient care. We are so committed to the mission of the Foundation that this year we will be serving as Co-Chairs of the Auction Committee of our Gala (formerly the Fête.) We want to thank you in advance for sharing with our family in this moment and helping us make a difference, particularly now when there is enormous financial strain on the Foundation's ability to meet the needs
of patients with a dramatically increased demand for education and support as we emerge from the COVID-19 pandemic. This is an opportunity to honor the perseverance and determination that we witness in our daughter, Julie, and the 3+ million other Americans living with these diseases every day. That's more than 1 in 100 Americans battling these diseases. Here's the hard part, the current generation of medicine help some people, but not others or not for long.
We believe that in this amazing era of research capabilities a cure can be found, but we need your help.
We hope you will support this cause that is so important to our family by making a donation to the mission. All supporters will receive a message in the evening's electronic program book. Donations above $2,500 include tickets to the in-person event, or you can purchase individual tickets here: https://p2p.onecause.com/negala2024. Thank you, thank you, thank you...
