Dear family, friends, and supporters,

I am honored to once again serve on the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation New England Gala Committee. This year’s Gala, themed “Generation to Generation,” will be held on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at Boston’s iconic Museum of Science. It promises to be an unforgettable evening blending purpose with celebration, featuring craft cocktails, gourmet hors d'oeuvres, a decadent dinner and dessert, live music, and exciting auctions.

My family’s involvement began in 1967 when my grandparents, Shelby and Bill, co-founded the Foundation after my father, Michael, was diagnosed with Crohn’s disease at age 12. With limited resources and no community to turn to, they created a place of support and hope. Today, Gila and I, alongside my mother Abby, proudly carry forward this legacy, committed to advancing research, enhancing patient care, and raising awareness.

Our New England Chapter remains among the most impactful nationwide, raising over $68 million for groundbreaking research at Boston’s leading medical centers. These resources have become lifelines, connecting families with expert physicians, essential information, and compassionate support networks.

We have set an ambitious goal to raise $1 million at this year’s Gala, driving critical research toward cures for Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis. I warmly invite you to join us—whether by attending, donating, or becoming a sponsor. Every contribution supports families today and helps future generations.

To donate or support my fundraising page directly, you can search my name at the event page or reach out to me personally. Your generosity and support mean the world to my family and everyone impacted by these diseases.

With heartfelt gratitude,

Alex & Gila Modell
