About 2024 New Day 5K

Thank you for supporting us! Great Lakes Adult and Teen Challenge is a one-year, live-in Christian discipleship program for adults struggling with life controlling problems such as drugs and alcohol. Our goal is to help our residents become established in society through holistic recovery and mentoring, education, and job training.

BIB PICK UP
Race bibs can be picked up at the Registration Tent on race day.
KIDS DASH
Join us for a fun kids dash just before the race. Children 10 and under are encouraged to run the 50 yard dash! Treats will be given to all kids who race.

Nelly's Story
Hi, my name is Nelly and I am a graduate of Great Lakes Adult and Teen Challenge. In 2021, I was homeless, brokenhearted and had lost placement of my children. I wanted to commit suicide by overdose. At this very painful time I cried out to God from the core of my heart and with in minutes I was arrested and back in jail for the last time. I heard about Adult and Teen Challenge in jail and entered the program in June of 2021. In the program I learned to live a new way with structure and the Word of God. The staff became like family and opened their arms to me with love and kindness. I graduate in May of 2022. Soon after graduation I was able to get custody of my children and also started drug court. Drug court is an intense 14-month court program that I was required to complete. Because I was able to complete this all of my charges were dismissed and taken off my record with no prison time. Less than one female a year completes drug court in Fond du Lac County. Jesus helped me do this. When the Lord speaks our job is to believe like Jesus tells us in Mark 11:22-24 and His job is to perform. What the Lord has done since I graduated is more than I could have ever asked or imagained. He is true to His promises and His love never fails, He is a faithful God and Father. He will complete what he starts. I now have full custody of my children, I am married to a wonderful loving man of God, and I have graduated drug court. My testimony is not the gospel but it is a result of the gospel. I serve faithfully at my church and meet every week with my pastor. Jesus says, "You didn't choose me. I chose you. I appointed you to go and produce lasting fruit, so that the Father will give you whatever you ask for, using my name." John 15:16 At Adult and Teen Challenge I learned to hear his voice and to live a new way not just for myself but for my family and others.
