the Mount Kilimanjaro Trek: Hope to New Heights supporting National Ovarian Cancer Coalition

Walking to help end ovarian cancer by raising awareness and funds to support the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition!
This past February I completed a bucket list item - I ran and walked a 5K race in the Disney Princess Races with NOCC TEAM TEAL of the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition. I met amazing friends along the way and going over the finish line, I felt pure joy over what I had accomplished - especially since I did this just 3 days after one of my chemo treatments. I might have an active ovarian cancer diagnosis, but it will not define who I am and what I am able to do!
So - I will continue to live my life to the fullest - and even though I can't make the trek to Africa to join TEAM TEAL once again I will walk and do my own trek! I will walk 37 miles to mimic the Machame Route that TEAM TEAL will take to the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro. My friend Christy Heid (also an ovarian cancer thriver / survivor) will be there in person! Please consider donation and supporting the ovarian cancer cause -every dollar makes a difference and 100% goes to the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition! The NOCC helps fund ovarian cancer research, education and awareness programs and quality of life resources which include financial support to those in need, meal delivery, counseling, peer to peer support groups and so much more! Together we can bring hope to others as the team takes HOPE to New Heights!!
Together, we will show there is no limit - (or height!) that we will go to help end ovarian cancer.
In this year of great challenges, one even greater challenge remains, saving more lives from ovarian cancer. Dollars raised for the NOCC support national programs and local market initiatives to heighten awareness of the subtle signs and symptoms of ovarian cancer, assist newly-diagnosed patients throughout the country, provide ongoing support to caregivers, and advocate for the advancement of ovarian cancer research.

I will be walking the same amount of miles as the group headed to the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro - you can sponsor each of the 37 miles and I will dedicate that mile to you - and you will be my inspiration to get to 37!
Donate $25 for any mile - indicate which mile you would like in your donation message (please offer a 2nd number choice)
Miles 2 and the last mile (37!) are $100 each! *** See what miles have been claimed on the main photo on my page.
TWO is a big number for me - I was diagnosed in February (2nd month) in 2022 and I have been fighting ovarian cancer for 2 years... I'd like to turn that 2 years into many many more - and your support will help fund research to make that happen - and fund services to help those fighting!
37 is the last mile of this trek - and TEAM TEAL will reach the summit - I will walk my 37th mile in celebration of everyone's dedication to help end this disease.. Let's Do This!! Thank you for your support!!
