I am bringing HOPE to New Heights with TEAM TEAL!

This year, I am continuing the fight for effective screening and a cure for Ovarian Cancer by registering for the 2024 Mount Kilimanjaro HOPE TO NEW HEIGHTS trek because I want to raise awareness and funding for National Ovarian Cancer Coalition. I want to show there is HOPE with an ovarian cancer diagnosis as well as a community willing to go to any length (or height!) to raise awareness and advocate for others. My support will help improve the lives of women, families and communities touched by ovarian cancer and I need your help. Please consider making a tax-deductible donation today in support of my fundraising efforts. Together, we will show there is no limit - (or height!) that we will go to help end ovarian cancer.

MY WHY...Because NO ONE Fights Alone and Bucket Lists are meant to be emptied!

I had Granulosa cell ovarian cancer almost two years ago. Surgery removed it all (praise the Lord!). Now I monitor for recurrence every 4 months including exams, blood work, and anxiety of waiting to hear what the results will say this time. I will do this FOR THE REST OF MY LIFE. And I'm one of the lucky ones. Only 17% of OC is diagnosed with early stage disease like me.

My friend and fellow thriver Amanda is one of the most inspirational people I have met on this journey. We were diagnosed and underwent surgery within months of each other. We shared the status of NED (no evidence of disease) together for approximately 9 months. Then a shoe dropped - she got the news of reoccurrence. Our little support group was hit hard. And we keep getting those hits. But what we have discovered is that Together We Are Stronger.

Expo day!

Amanda is fighting for her life every day and has been receiving weekly chemotherapy for over a year now. SHE IS STILL HERE. Thanks be to God! What is even more amazing is that she seeks JOY in everything she does and is voraciously checking things off her bucket list. Including completing the Disney Princess 5k in February - just three days after receiving chemo! Her inspiration caught fire with the group and her catchphrase #chemoonTuesday5konFriday. She has inspired me and I want to bring her spirit all the way to the TOP of Africa - Mount Kilimanjaro! #BeLikeAmanda

Teal Princesses 5k crew cross the finish line!

DON'T STOP NOW...There is still work to be done. Until we have effective screening and all women have access to care, I will do my part to raise awareness and one day bring an end to ovarian cancer.  Cancer sucks, but

we can do something about it.Thanks to peer support, counseling services, and survivor events, I am able to manage my cancer journey AND make a difference for other survivors and thrivers. Please consider making a tax-deductible donation today to honor Amanda and all the amazing women who have fought, battled, or will face this quiet killer. Your tax-deductible donation can help me make this dream, a reality so we can all live with abundant JOY!

Dollars raised for the NOCC support national programs and local market initiatives to heighten awareness of the subtle signs and symptoms of ovarian cancer, assist newly-diagnosed patients throughout the country, provide ongoing support to caregivers, and advocate for the advancement of ovarian cancer research. Learn more about your risk and all the great work the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition is doing to help people like Amanda, me, and our fellow thrivers by visiting www.ovarian.org.

Will you please join me to help me #BeLikeAmanda and bring an end to ovarian cancer? Every dollar makes a difference, and shares raise awareness and HOPE. Thank you!
