About Help a tiny baby in a big way today

Everything is small when it comes to the micro-preemies in Community Health System's neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) — but your impact is not.

Nutrition is essential for the babies in the NICU. To get preemie babies the nutrients they need, Dr. Anand Rajani, Vice President and Chief Medical Officer for Community Health Partners and Community Care Health, uses a special fortifier derived from human breast milk. “This nutrition is critical. If a baby doesn’t grow well, their development will almost certainly be hampered,” says Dr. Rajani.

Your donation will provide fortifier for babies in need of nutrients to help them grow. You can help babies survive and thrive.

What is a micro-preemie?

A micro-preemie is a baby born before 26 weeks or weighing less than 1lb. 12 oz. More micro-preemies are born at Community Health System than anywhere in California.

What is a NICU?

A neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) is an intensive care unit for very sick newborns. Together, the Level III NICU at Community Regional — the largest in the Valley — and the level II NICU at Clovis Community Medical Center offer around-the-clock care for 1,100 critically ill babies a year.

Is Community a non-profit?

Yes, Community is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. 100% of your donation will fund vital nutrition for babies in the NICU, with no portion used for administrative or over-head costs. Your gift is fully tax deductible.

Community is the Central Valley’s safety-net healthcare system. Every patient receives top-tier care, regardless of their ability to pay, including our tiniest, most fragile patients in the NICU.
