Team NPF Run supporting National Psoriasis Foundation

Diagnosed with psoriatic disease almost 30 years ago and running NYC again to keep getting the message out about psoriasis.
I invite you to join me in supporting the National Psoriasis Foundation. The NPF is the leading national nonprofit organization supporting research on psoriatic disease and comorbidities.
For me psoriasis is personal, I was starting high school when I had these weird patches show up on my face and scalp. I had no idea what it was and it took getting a referral to a dermatologist that I found out what it was.
As for me, my psoriasis cleared up, but then it returned 10 years later and honestly it never left. Something I did not know when I was initially diagnosed was that it never goes away. As I got older, the skin patches expanded to over more of my body, but due to my previous work with the NPF, I got the motivation to see another dermatologist and get my psoriasis under control. Even when I did my first visit with my current dermatologist, she referred to NPF for medications and recommended phototherapy which has been the biggest help.
You can find more of my story on my previous fundraising page, here.
Your donation today will support collaborative, transformational research, advocacy efforts, and educational programs that help the more than 8 million people in America living with psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis. NPF has invested nearly $34 million in grants and fellowships in recent years and is committed to ensuring all people have access to affordable, comprehensive, appropriate care and treatment for their disease.

It was a struggle last year honestly, but in the end this is when it hit me.
