2020 United Airlines NYC Half supporting Boomer Esiason Foundation

For my inspiration, Annie McMahon, who passed away this summer. Honoring her memory and battle, and all of those still fighting CF ❤️
My sister Annie McMahon passed away on July 25th, 2019.
This March, I will be running the NYC Half Marathon in her honor. Annie was diagnosed with CF as a toddler. She never let CF define her. Annie survived two double lung transplants, but while waiting for a third, she became too sick and passed away. Annie had the will to fight more than anyone I have ever known. When the doctors told her she had 48 hours left to live in the hospital, she lived 7 weeks, spending time with all her loved ones and making it back to her beloved homes of Crestwood and Breezy Point.
I miss Annie everyday. She is my role model who I will always look up to. She was an amazing big sister to me and my two younger sisters Meagan and Claire. Annie had a smile that could light up a room and an infectious laugh that everyone loved. Annie lived life to the fullest. She brightened every room she walked into and showed everyone how strong and brave she was. There is nothing in this world I wouldn't trade to have Annie here with me but I know she is finally breathing easy and with me every day guiding and protecting me.
The Boomer Esiason Foundation is an incredible organization. Any contribution is so very appreciated.
Thank you!
Love,
Kate McMahon
