After the 2020 TCS NYC Marathon was cancelled due to COVID, I decided to defer to the 2021 race. Please help me support Team Boomer and the CF community by making a donation!

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page! On November 7, 2021 I will be running the New York City Marathon to help The Boomer Esiason Foundation in our quest to raise awareness and make CF stand for Cure Found.

As many of you know, my sisters, Mallory and Catherine, have been fighting Cystic Fibrosis for over 35 years. My parents’ early efforts to work towards a cure for CF began by fundraising with the hopes of developing different therapies and treatments to help alleviate the symptoms of CF. However, recent drug developments, and the FDA approval of Trikafta, have worked towards treating the cause of CF, rather than the symptoms. My sisters were lucky enough to receive Trikafta earlier than most patients, but there is still work to be done to find a cure.

While my parents’ efforts to find a cure for CF started long ago, mine started more recently with all of you. Since the Spring of 2016, I have raised over $65,000 for CF by running the NYC Marathon three times. You all also helped me fundraise over $17,000 in anticipation of the 2020 Boston Marathon, which was ultimately cancelled. Now that it has been two whole years since I've ran for CF, I am SO looking forward to finally running for my two amazing sisters again this coming fall.

I want to continue this fundraising journey into 2021 because I’ve been so lucky to live my life CF free. While I’ve watched my sisters battle this disease everyday, I’ve been lucky enough to breathe easy—something I will never take for granted. Since I last fundraised for CF in 2019, Catherine had a double lung transplant (in the height of COVID I might add!) and Mallory became pregnant and had her second baby girl, Georgia. All they have accomplished in this last year motivates me to continue to fundraise for CF.

I will be running the 2021 NYC Marathon in honor of Mallory and Catherine and would greatly appreciate your help in reaching my fundraising goal of $15,000. While I know many of you have been instrumental in working towards a cure for CF, I would be so grateful for your continued support. Thank you for all your help and please feel free to share my page with any friends and family who may want to donate too!
