2021 TCS NYC Marathon supporting Boomer Esiason Foundation

I love running, and I love my girlfriend (who has CF), so what better way to combine both and do it for a good cause!
Who is Michael?
For those who don't know me, I'm Michael (or Mike)! I'm a 22 year old who grew up in Monmouth county, New Jersey and recently graduated from Ramapo College. In middle and high school, I ran cross country and my love for distance running has only grown since. As I started college, I opted out for running competitively to focus on education, turning my focus towards personal achievements. That made me more interested in running longer distances, like half and full marathons. I can't wait to take on the NYC Marathon this November!
Why Team Boomer?
My girlfriend, Mariah, has CF and has dealt with it her whole life, it's a part of her as a person. We started dating in 2015 during cross country season of my senior year of high school. During that time, she was always so supportive and came to my meets. With this opportunity, I get to show my support for the CF community! The Boomer Esiason Foundation has helped Mariah in the past so I thought joining their team would hopefully help other CF people in the future.
What is Team Boomer
Team Boomer is the athletic division of the Boomer Esiason Foundation.
We work to encourage people with cystic fibrosis to live active, healthy lifestyles.
We welcome any advocate to join the team to raise funds and awareness for the CF community. How does Team Boomer help?
The money raised by our Team Boomer athletes helps fund our scholarships, transplant grants, disaster relief program, and a number of educational resources.
Mariah and I went away to the Poconos one weekend and we did a lot of hiking. We saw an incredible waterfall and beautiful valleys. We took so many pictures to commemorate our trip.
