Make A Difference with Your Miles!

My name is Amelia Sheehan, and I am deeply honored to be running the 2025 TCS New York City Marathon for Team Teal. In December 2023, one of my best friends, Arielle Uygur, lost her mother, Julie, to Ovarian cancer. Julie fought with incredible strength, courage, and grace - qualities that inspired me beyond words. Over the years, Arielle's family has become my own, and Julie's memory holds a special place in my heart. 

I am running in honor of Julie and for every survivor and loved one we've lost to Ovarian cancer. I am someone who approaches everything in my life with passion and dedication - nothing is ever done half-heartedly. 

This marathon is an opportunity for me to fight for the people I love, raise awareness, and funds for Ovarian cancer research. I will run not only for the people who have touched my life but also for those still fighting, those who have passed, and for all the families who need hope.
