As an equity, diversity and inclusion practitioner, I am constantly reminded of what injustice and inequity looks like. I am also reminded of what aspiring for a better world would look like, too. My work is centered around the human experience and the rights of people. The safety and welfare of children and young people everywhere is something we should all be concerned about. I want to live in a world where every child feels safe. I am running on behalf of Darkness to Light because I believe in their mission and I want to live in a world where as a society, we consciously choose to keep kids safe.
