Over The Edge 4 Granted Supporting Granted

About Over the Edge 4 Granted

Over The Edge is a unique and thrilling way for you and your company, friends, or family to support GRANTED. If you crave adventure and want to help support local children with terminal or life-threatening conditions, then Over The Edge is for you!

Please join GRANTED on April 30, 2022 when over 90 brave souls will be given the opportunity to rappel down CenterPoint Energy's 9 story building in downtown Evansville overlooking the mighty Ohio River.

Every day, children with life-threatening conditions face difficult obstacles. Imagine the fear and anxiety these children face each and every day, and you can step up and stand beside them in a show of solidarity.

Participants commit to donating a minimum of $1,000 to join us on this adventure. Invite your friends, family or co-workers to help you raise the funds to go Over the Edge!  Income raised will go towards making magical Wishes come true, and will help us ensure no child ever sits on a waiting list.  Funding will also allow GRANTED to maintain the high level of child and family support through the Beyond The Wish programming.

How Your Support Makes a Difference for Wish Children like Ellie Jane

At just eight-years-old, Ellie Jane, a sweet and sassy princess, has already endured more than most children her age will in a lifetime.  On a daily basis, she bravely faces spina bifida, cerebral palsy, hydrocephalus, and a tethered cord.  From her many surgeries to weekly therapies and daily treatments, this courageous little girl handles all that life has given her with a big smile and a little sass.

Ellie Jane’s Wish was to visit Disney and meet other princesses like her.  Armed with her small walker and big personality, her and her family spent a week at Disney and Give Kids The World, and experienced all of the magic that Disney holds.

Since 1985, GRANTED has been serving precious children, like Ellie Jane, who live in Southern IN, Western KY, and Southeast IL, who are ages 3-18 and are living with life-threatening and terminal conditions.

This assistance gives them and their family a desperately needed respite from the physical, emotional, and financial burdens created by a life-threatening illness. Wishes provide strength, hope, joy, and a wonderful experience that the family can enjoy together and then treasure among their memories.

Each Wish is as unique as the child who requests it, but they all share one commonality in that Wishes are life-changing. We have witnessed children connecting with their parents for the first time ever, a severely challenged child who was never supposed to be able to use her legs taking her first steps, and a child with organic brain disorder said his first understandable words while on his Wish trip to Disney.

Beyond that though, GRANTED maintains close contact with the families and continues serving them though a comprehensive Beyond The Wish benefits program.

Ellie Jane and her family remain an active part of our Granted family, and can be found at any events or programs we offer.
