About Biketoberfest!

Biketoberfest 2019!

Biketoberfest is an afternoon full of bike riding, yard games, food, and, of course, beer! All are welcome to attend this event, even if you're not going to ride. We will have a support vehicle and one water stop (but please be supplied largely with your own replenishment and snacks). There is one outdoor shower available, so feel free to bring your own towel and a change of clothes for after you ride. The ride will start at 276A Garrett Road, Edgefield, SC 29824 (look for Paceline yard signs!), and this is where the post ride fun will also take place. While there is some parking available at the ride start, overflow parking will be available at  Buck Tyler's Taxidermy, 4 Garrett Rd, Edgefield, SC 29824. You can park there and ride your bike down to the start, and we will also have a vehicle with a rack that holds 2 bikes available to drive folks (be patient and arrive early if you choose this option, as there is only one vehicle).

See schedule and details below:

  • 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Bike Ride
    • The bike ride will start at 2:00 p.m. at 276A Garrett Road, Edgefield, SC 29824. This is a casual ride that loops through some country roads. The loop is approximately 14 miles, and you can ride it however many times you would like from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. We will have one water stop along the loop, and restrooms are available back at the start location. We will also have a support truck that you can call at any point if you need to be shuttled back in. Again, this is a casual ride, and all are welcome, but exercise caution and ride at your own risk as this is an open road ride. If you would like to finish riding before 5:00 p.m., you are welcome to return to the start where there will be snacks and drinks available until dinner, as well as an outdoor shower, yard games, and music.
  • 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
    • Food and more beer is served! The ride will finish and return to the start location where food will be served. There will also be some giveaway incentives (like home-brewed Belgium beer!) for donations, and a small raffle. We will also have corn hole, jenga, music, and if weather permits, an outdoor fire.
