The Park Road Association is partnering with Connecticut Foodshare and hosting a virtual food drive to fight food insecurity in our local community. Any amount is appreciated, and no donation is too small. Every dollar donated provides two meals!
Connecticut Foodshare is the food bank serving the people of Connecticut and a member of the national Feeding America network. Last year, over 37 million meals were provided through a network of more than 650 community-based hunger relief programs, including food pantries, community kitchens, emergency shelters, mobile distribution sites, and more; while also working on long-term solutions to alleviate hunger.
In Connecticut, nearly 400,000 people are experiencing food insecurity, including 1 in 8 children.
