Foothill Family was founded in 1926 in Pasadena, California by key community volunteer, Mrs. Josephine Marsh, who “passed the hat” to assist neighbors in need. She became the first director of the agency. To honor this humble origin, we continue Mrs. Marsh’s legacy by “passing the hat” to raise important funds for our client services through a friendly competition between teams. We also continue the tradition of honoring our most gracious community leaders by “tipping our caps” and thanking them for their service to Foothill Family.

This year, we are thrilled to "Tip our Caps" to our Community Storytellers, Clear Channel Outdoor, and how they are making a difference for Foothill Family, our clients and our community.

The event concludes on October 20th when we "pass the hat" to raise funds for Foothill Family's vital services to continue the ongoing friendly competition between teams.

COVID Information to know:

To ensure the safety of all guests, we will require proof of a COVID vaccination or a negative test for COVID-19 upon check in at the event and before you are permitted entry into the event. Please be sure either of these two forms of proof is a photo on your phone, that you can easily show at check in at the event. We prefer you keep your vaccination card at home, for safe keeping.

A negative COVID test must include one of the following:

PCR test, which stands for polymerase chain reaction (the standard nasal or oral test) obtained within 3 days (on or after October 17th 11AM PST) of the event with a negative test result. Note: PCR test results generally take up to 48 hours at your local CVS or pharmacy.
Antigen test (rapid test) must be obtained within 24 hours of the start of the event (October 20th) with a negative test result.
