About Paws In Motion 2025 - Helping Paws 5K

A Community Event For Everyone!

Helping Paws is thrilled to host our Paws In Motion 5K event and fundraiser on May 18th, 2025!
Whether you prefer to wag, walk, roll, or run, there will be both long and short courses to choose from. Bring your friends and family! You can even form teams in advance to raise money for Helping Paws. Join us for the celebration, take a tour of our new facility, meet our assistance dogs, and get your Paws In Motion!

Join us on our Annual 5K - New Location!
This year our 5K will take place at Purgatory Creek Pavillion in Eden Prairie. Come and wag, walk, roll, or run for a great cause!

Don't want to participate on the 5K? No problem! We will have many activities at the Pavillion area after the 5K. From food trucks, live music, vendors, and more!

Why Participate?

  1. Whether you wag, walk, run, or roll, you become a vital part of a community coming together to support life-changing assistance dogs (service dogs and facility dogs). There will be a lot of happy tails waggin'!

  2. It's an opportunity to connect with like-minded individuals who also believe in the mutually beneficial relationship between humans and dogs. Our community is filled with all walks of life who want to leave a positive impact that reverberates far beyond the finish line.

  3. What a great way to spend a Sunday morning: outside and moving the body. There will be food trucks, arts and crafts vendors, live music, and lots of fun!

Assistance Dogs Change Lives!

Helping Paws is a Minnesota-based non-profit with more than 35 years of experience training and placing assistance dogs such as service dogs with individuals who have physical disabilities or veterans and first responders with PTSD, as well as facility dog partnerships with health care professionals.  We are an accredited member of Assistance Dogs International.

Having an assistance dog empowers individuals with self-confidence, self-esteem, and a radiance that is wonderful to see. It means the gifts of dignity, independence, and peace of mind. Your donations and participate supports our mission!

"With my service dog at my side, he is a constant presence in an ever changing environment. I will always be grateful to Helping Paws."
