“Having the opportunity of being a Sole Man in 2023 was much more than just asking people to give monetarily to PEI. I was personally blessed to be born with the ability to speak and hear, yet PEI changed my life forever. My best friend and grandfather, Harry Hakeem, was stone deaf for 30 years until PEI shattered his silent world and allowed us to connect and communicate. This helped create life-long memories only possible through speaking and hearing. My grandfather passed in May of 2023 leaving behind a love for PEI and a drive for me to help raise money for other families to be able to experience those same life-changing opportunities. It was a true honor and pleasure being a part of Wine, Women, & Shoes, ultimately being crowned King of Sole!”
