ABOUT US
PGA HOPE Kentucky continues to grow throughout the state, with seven chapters in Louisville, Shelbyville, Frankfort, Lexington, Paducah, Fort Knox, and Florence. Veterans around Kentucky come to our chapters to experience the camaraderie built within the program. PGA HOPE Kentucky gives Veterans the chance to have an outlet for activity and competition while enjoying the community of Veterans that surrounds them.
PROGRAM GROWTH
The growth in the state of Kentucky with PGA HOPE in the past year has been tremendous! In 2022, there were three chapters in the state, and now we have seven chapters for the 2023 season. In the 2022 winter and this summer, we trained 26 more PGA Professionals to help at each PGA HOPE chapter. In 2022, we had a total of 56 graduates for the year. We still have five more chapters to have graduations this year, and we are currently at 158 graduates for the 2023 year. PGA HOPE is making such an impact on the lives of our Veterans in our state by spending time with them for an hour and a half each week. The Veterans in our community want camaraderie and familiarity, and there is no better program than PGA HOPE to give that to them.
WHY IT MATTERS
Our plans for the funds we will raise in the National Day of HOPE Campaign are to get brand new clubs for each of our chapters around the state. Almost every chapter has Veterans who might not have the opportunity to have golf clubs, and we do not want anyone to feel like they cannot be a part of PGA HOPE because of that reason. We want to purchase clubs for each of our chapters in Kentucky for Veterans to borrow at the sessions to ensure they are included in PGA HOPE. PGA REACH will provide a dollar-for-dollar match up to $10,000 of what we raise locally. We hope you will partner with us to impact local Veterans in our Section.
