ABOUT US

PGA HOPE (Helping Our Patriots Everywhere) is the flagship military program of PGA REACH Minnesota. PGA HOPE is a 6-8 week program that provides military veterans with free golf experiences taught by PGA Professionals. Upon completing the program, Veterans are considered “graduates” and will remain engaged annually through other PGA HOPE activities and events provided by PGA REACH Minnesota. Learning and playing the game of golf is a proven activity that has positively impacted thousands of veterans nationwide. PGA HOPE is a program that truly makes a difference, as golf has become a therapeutic part of the rehabilitation process for many veterans with physical, mental, or emotional disabilities.

PROGRAM GROWTH

In 2023, the Minnesota PGA hosted 15 PGA HOPE Sessions at 13 different Chapters throughout Minnesota and South Dakota. This was our first year in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, where Elmwood Golf Course graduated 10 Veterans from the program. Next year, in 2024, we will expand into Fargo, North Dakota, and bring PGA HOPE back to the state after being absent for the last few years. We will focus on growing our current Minnesota-based Chapters by getting more PGA Professionals involved at each location. We want to share the story of PGA HOPE Minnesota with others because we've seen firsthand what the program can do to help Veterans in our community. Others need to know more about the program because it lays the groundwork for potential partnerships, expansion, improvement, and long-term success.

WHY IT MATTERS

We would like to use the funds raised to purchase sets of clubs for Veterans who participate in PGA HOPE but do not have their own clubs. PGA REACH will provide a dollar-for-dollar match up to $10,000 of what we raise locally. We hope you will partner with us to impact local Veterans in our Section.
