ABOUT US
The Northern Texas PGA Foundation recognizes the great contributions and sacrifices that men and women who are currently serving or have served in the military have made for our country. Through the game of golf, our Foundation works towards helping these men and women through the PGA HOPE (Helping Our Patriots Everywhere) Program. PGA HOPE introduces golf to Veterans to enhance their physical, mental, social, and emotional well-being.
PROGRAM GROWTH
In 2022, Northern Texas PGA had 22 PGA HOPE programs. That number grew to 39 programs in 2023. Number of Veterans served 2021 vs. 2022 vs. 2023: 2021 - 90, 2022 - 163, 2023 - 278 (projected with fall graduates)
Additional experiences provided: the PGA HOPE Cup and PGA HOPE Play-Days. We currently have 82 PGA Professionals certified with more desiring to complete it and get involved. We simply want to introduce the game to more Veterans and keep them playing.
WHY IT MATTERS
Very simply, we would use the funds to launch additional programs beyond our current funding for PGA HOPE. We have tremendous demand from veterans wishing to join this program along with a fairly large number of PGA Professionals who desire to conduct the programs. This would enable us to add more programs in 2024. PGA REACH will provide a dollar-for-dollar match up to $10,000 of what we raise locally. We hope you will partner with us to impact local Veterans in our Section.
