ABOUT US

PGA HOPE Wisconsin aims to bring a sense of community and wellness to our Veterans through the game of golf. We accomplish this by providing our Wisconsin PGA members opportunities to host programs, clinics, and playing opportunities for Veterans of all golf backgrounds and abilities. Our PGA HOPE Ambassador assists with recruiting efforts and maintains a working relationship between the Wisconsin PGA Section staff and Veterans to grow the number of Veterans we serve.

PROGRAM GROWTH

PGA HOPE has grown significantly since its inception in Wisconsin. In 2023, we brought PGA HOPE programming to 15 locations and served over 300 Veterans. 2023 also marked the start of our inaugural PGA HOPE Wisconsin Cup - a complimentary event for all graduates of the program to commemorate a successful season. We currently have 47 Wisconsin PGA Members and associate professionals trained in PGA HOPE adaptive golf and military culture/competency. 2023 was the first season we worked with our PGA HOPE Ambassador, John Harvey (USAF). He was instrumental in placing veterans in a program, reaching out to veterans who were hesitant to get started, and speaking to our Wisconsin PGA members. We welcome our new Ambassador, Tom Fischer, this fall, but "Harv" will continue to help us in various capacities as our Ambassador program continues to grow.

WHY IT MATTERS

We plan to use the funds to supplement programming, create the first-ever PGA HOPE Scholarship for PGA HOPE Graduate family members (i.e., children and grandchildren), and support our PGA HOPE Ambassador efforts. PGA REACH will provide a dollar-for-dollar match up to $10,000 of what we raise locally. We hope you will partner with us to impact local Veterans in our Section.
