Join us for our 2nd Annual Pins for Paws fundraising event for Always and Furever Midwest Animal Sanctuary.  This year we will be able to hold an in-person event at Mission Bowl in Olathe on Saturday, September 25th from 3-5pm.  Though in-person event numbers are limited (we can have 24 teams of 6), everyone can attend virtually and together we'll all help to roll in some funds!!  Please understand that should Covid-19 mandates change between now and our event date, this could become a virtual only event.

We ask that each participant that registers raise a minimum of $75.00 and, of course, hope that you'll do even more.  100% of all donations raised for this event will go towards the BIG red barn!!

Remember all paws matter and every dollar counts!!

How to get started...

1 - Register as an individual and/or team participant below.

2 - Set up your personal and/or team donation page.  Be creative with your team names and pages.  You can add pictures and videos to them as well as update the messages and colors on them.

3 - Share the link to your page with family and friends via email and social media requesting donations.

4 - Recruit family and friends to join in on the fun by joining your team, signing up individually, and inviting others to join as well.

5 - Collect donations.  Every participant (whether they attend in-person or virtually) that raises the minimum ($75) will receive a Pins for Paws event t-shirt.

Once you've signed up, be creative and have some fun ... design your team and/or personal page once you sign up (or you can leave it as it is if you choose).  Aren't able to attend our in-person event?  You can still have some bowling fun by ... going bowling with your team, have a game night (yes, there are bowling board games), think of fun bowling themed ideas and share photos and videos in our gallery or on your team and personal pages. Don't forget to use our event hashtag #pinsforpawstwo.

For anyone not comfortable participating online (or for virtual bowlers collecting in-person donations) cash and check are also welcome.  Checks can be made out to Always and Furever.  Please add "Pins for Paws" on the memo line.  For area monetary donation drop-offs, please contact Marie Fabrizius via email Marie@alwaysandfurever.love to make arrangements.  General check donations can be mailed directly to the barn ... The Little Red Barn

Imagine a place where old dogs, sick dogs, abused dogs, abandoned dogs and unwanted dogs all came together, to rest, to live, to play and snuggle. Where meals come morning and night, classical music is always playing and love overflows. The only choice they have to make is which couch or dog bed to lay on and which visitor to pick to smother with kisses. Just a place for dogs to be. To wait in the comforts of a home until they can find a family of their own who won’t throw them away when they are old or sick or even dying. To know they are loved for who they are, at this moment and then to love us in return regardless of their past. To be the model of forgiveness and in return teach us to be better, kinder humans and to always know that even if in a small way we can always make a difference. This is the place we strive to be. This is our mission. This is our little red barn. A home for so many souls others discarded and we can’t imagine living without.

Not Your Average Rescue

Established in May 2018, we have had the privilege of saving over 2,000 animals from high kill shelters and owner surrenders.  Our mission is to ensure that these animals know love, kindness, and compassion in their golden years.  The primary goals of our organization are:

Rescue – Always & Furever rescues senior dogs (as well as some younger dogs and cats) from kill shelters where the odds of them finding a home are bleak.  They either are placed in foster homes or come live at our Ever After farm.  Our open environment concept allows dogs living at the farm to roam free in the barn and sleep on couches and dog beds.  Living in an environment as close to home as we can create.

Advocacy – Always & Furever works with local rescues and agencies to advocate for animal rights.  Engaging with elected officials, law enforcement, and other related parties to create positive change.

Service – Always & Furever gives back to our community through our Random Acts of Kindness program as well as doing outreach and assisting other local rescues on philanthropic causes.  Recently launching our Operation LRB PAWS which assists shelters in need.

As a 100% donation based organization, we rely heavily on our volunteers and supporters such as you to help our mission continue.  Veterinary bills alone can reach $50,000 a month and in addition there is food, maintenance, supplies, as well as boarding costs for our dogs that we cannot house at the barn due to legal limits.  These dogs are placed in the best boarding facilities and we work tirelessly to find them their forever home.
