How Your Support Makes a Difference

Help Us Change the Future for Children with Neuroblastoma

With your support, we can accelerate the search for a cure—and reduce the devastating toxicity of current treatments. Band of Parents is the leading independent funder of neuroblastoma research at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSKCC). We focus on advancing promising lab-tested therapies into clinical trials, where they can begin helping children right away.

In the 1980s, fewer than 5% of children diagnosed with high-risk neuroblastoma survived. Today, thanks to research breakthroughs, survival rates at top institutions like MSKCC exceed 50%. But that’s not enough. Too many children are still dying. Too many families are still facing the unimaginable. Despite its urgency, pediatric cancer remains severely underfunded. Less than 8% of the National Cancer Institute’s budget supports pediatric cancer research. The pharmaceutical industry also invests little, due to the small patient population and high costs.

We stand with families in the fight. We offer community, resources, and hope—because we believe a cure is out there. And we won’t stop until no child is lost to this disease.

Join us. Together, we are bound by hope.
