Making A Difference with My Miles!

This year, I registered for the Disney Princess Races because I want to raise awareness and funding for National Ovarian Cancer Coalition.   I usually take part in the TD 5 Borough ride, but this year I had a conflict so I am switching it up to the Disney Princess Races.  My fundraising goal is $1000 which will go towards raising awareness of Ovarian Cancer and to  help improve the lives of individuals, families and communities touched by ovarian cancer. I lost my mother, Anita, in 2015 after a 3.5 year battle with Ovarian Cancer.  My mom was the kindest bravest soul I know.  She is still all around me, just in different ways.  It is important that people learn the signs, they are signs that everyone can ignore: fatigue, bloating, weight gain, back pain and pelvic pain are just a few.  Not enough awareness is given to Ovarian Cancer and I promised I would continue to spread awareness after my mother gained her angel wings.
