Join us (VIRTUALLY!) the week of September 20-26, 2020 for the 10th Annual PTEF Family Fit Fest, featuring the Coach Hathaway 10k, 5k & 1-Mile* Run. This fun community event is open to all ages and ability levels. Rather than canceling the event this year, in light of current circumstances, we're going virtual! See below for details.
Be a part of our mission to inspire learning, teaching, and community in Perry Township Schools. All you have to do is walk or run! Consider "going the extra mile" by fundraising for the event. Ask your family and friends to support you by making a donation. Top fundraisers will receive prizes and social media recognition alongside top runners!
This event proudly honors the legacy of longtime Perry Township teacher and track and cross-country coach, Tom Hathaway, who was a mentor to hundreds of runners in the Indianapolis community and who believed that fitness should be fun, community-focused, and accessible to all.
*Note: If you choose the 1-mile walk/run option, there is no need to submit your time. We will also be partnering with our elementary schools to have students run as part of their normal PE curriculum. If your child is interested, you can download a paper registration form at www.ptef.org

Registration fees are as follows for the 10k and 5k races:
10k Registration (adults): $20
10k Registration (students) $10
5k Registration (adults): $15
5k Registration (students): $10
1-Mile Registration (students & adults): $5
Once registration is complete, set up your profile, join or start a team, and ask for donations (this step is OPTIONAL and can be done by logging back into your account at any time).
Then anytime during the week of Sunday, September 20th to Saturday September 26th, get out there and run your race! You can do it anywhere, at any time. Track your time and distance on a smart phone or watch, then report your time to us by 11:59pm on Saturday. Top runners in each category will be announced via our website and social media!

Individuals who raise the following amounts in donations will receive the prizes listed below. Share that you are participating on your social media with the hashtag #PTEFrun to get the ball rolling!

$500 - Sport Duffel Bag
Prizes will be mailed to fundraisers after the event. Fundraising amounts to receive prizes DO NOT include registration fees paid. Top fundraisers will also receive recognition on our website and social media alongside top runners!
Dri-fit, long-sleeve race t-shirts are available for $20 each. Sizes available include Youth S-L, and Adult Men's and Women's S-XXL. A limited number of last year's white shirts are also available for $10 each.
You can purchase shirts as part of your event registration, or to purchase a shirt without registering, visit www.ptef.org/give/make-a-donation/general-donation/ and indicate size and quantity in the comment box.
Shirts will be available for curbside pick up at PTEC on Friday, September 18th (time TBA - more details coming soon). If you work in Perry Township, you may also arrange to have your shirt delivered via interoffice mail.
Wear your shirt while you run your race, snap a photo of yourself, and tag PTEF on social media with the hashtag #PTEFrun!
All proceeds from this event benefit PTEF's mission to inspire learning, teaching, and community in Perry Township. We have poured over $1.3 million into classrooms through teacher grants and other initiatives since 1994. With your help we can keep the dollars flowing for many years to come!
